Route 109 over Bonhomme Creek 

The new Route 109 bridge is now open to traffic.
UPDATE DECEMBER 1: Route 109 bridge at Bonhomme Creek re-opens ahead of schedule
The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor KTU Constructors have completed work on the Route 109 bridge over Bonhomme Creek. Route 109 is now open to traffic.
Crews removed and replaced the existing structure. Route 109 at Bonhomme Creek was closed during this project for 36 days. The new bridge features wider shoulders and replaces an older bridge built in the 1930’s. Work was completed one day ahead of schedule.
Route 109 bridge over Bonhomme Creek Community Briefing to be held Wednesday, August 26.
The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding a open house style community briefing regarding the closing of the Route 109 bridge at Bonhomme Creek, near the northern Route BA entrance.
The briefing will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Lafayette High School, 17050 Clayton Road, Wildwood, MO 63011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be no formal presentations during the briefing.
Construction on the Route 109 bridge over Bonhomme Creek may begin as early as fall 2009, weather permitting.
Crews will be working to remove and replace the existing structure. The bridge will be closed during this project and motorists are advised to use Route BA as a bypass detour. Route BA touches Route 109 to both the north and south of the closure. Once construction begins, the project is expected to be completed within 37 days.
