Project Status:   Construction will begin in early 2012.

Why is MoDOT doing this project?

MoDOT in conjunction with the City of Riverside is preparing to replace the bridge at Line Creek with the addition of sidewalks to improve safety.

How does this project benefit me?

This project will focus on safety for both pedestrians and motorists. Creating a safer walkway while providing a new bridge to enhance safety is a high priority for MoDOT.

What is the project schedule?

The Line Creek Bridge construction will begin in 2012. Once construction begins, the bridge will close for no more than 60 days.  A signed detour will be in place.

How is this project funded?

The Line Creek Bridge project includes $1,125,000 of Suballocated STP funds.

There is also an unfunded project for grading, paving and drainage to widen Route 69 from Gateway to Old Pike. This project includes the cities of Riverside, North KC, Northmoor and Gladstone. A Corridor Study has been conducted and includes a traffic study and conceptual plans to determine feasible alternatives to widen the route and the cost to do so. The study was conducted by TranSystems.
