job and/or moving from a non-physically demanding job to a physically
demanding job, a drug test and/or a physical exam will be required.)
The photogrammetric
technician is responsible for gathering a topographic
database by use of computer aided drafting and design (CADD) and
stereo plotting equipment for creation of a digital terrain model
to be used for highway design. The position is governed
by the department's Project Development Manual, equipment procedure
manuals, and other technical publications. Responsibilities
are performed under moderate supervision. Knowledge of drafting
and mathematical calculations related to highway design as might
be acquired through one year of technical school training, in
addition to graduation from high school. Six months of experience
with the department as a photogrammetric drafting technician or
12 months of experience outside the department in comparable positions.
A passing score on the depth perception test.
