Supervisor
Location: District 5 - Jefferson City

Job Summary:
The mechanic
supervisor supervises the maintenance and repair of equipment or vehicles assigned to field or garage locations. Responsibilities are
performed under direct supervision. Two years of college or Associate's Degree: Automotive Technology or related field. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with no air brake restrictions. Valid vehicle inspection license. One year of experience in mechanic related positions.
Substitution
of experience for associate's degree requires a waiver from the
Human Resources Committee, unless the employee held this position
or one of the following jobs prior to July 1989; shop mechanic,
mechanic supervisor, field mechanic, or auto body mechanic.

Job requires exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable environmental conditions.
Special Considerations/Qualifications Not Listed On Job Specifications:
This position would be responsible for establishing various training programs, either in house or vendor supplied, as needed by the mechanics. Also responsible for establishing additional training classes or programs for the equipment operators as needed.
