Route H, Muddy Creek Bridge in Pettis County Now Open
PETTIS COUNTY – A bridge deck replacement for the Muddy Creek Bridge on Route H in Pettis County has been completed and the bridge opened to traffic on September 4.
The Muddy Creek Bridge is located four miles west of Route 65. Work began on July 29 and the bridge was closed to traffic during construction. The Missouri Department of Transportation extends its thanks to motorists for their patience while the work was underway.
The deck replacement cost approximately $324,000. Lehmen Construction, California, Mo., completed the work.
The improvements are part of MoDOT’s Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program, which will improve 800 of Missouri's worst bridges in five years. Ninety bridges will be replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri area as a part of this program.
Thirteen bridges, including the Muddy Creek Bridge, have been completed in Central Missouri. Ninety-two bridges have been completed statewide.
