Route 50 Phase Two Groundbreaking Ceremony Photos
The groundbreaking ceremony for Phase Two of the Route 50 project was held on Aug. 28, 2008.

Speakers included:

State Representative Kenny Jones

Moniteau County Presiding Commissioner Kenneth Kunze

Mayor Norris Gerhart, City of California

Speakers and special guests broke ground to signal the official start of work.

Illinois Valley Paving Company, contractor for the project, used a track loader to break ground during the ceremony.
Approximately 100 people attended to celebrate the beginning of phase two.

Thanks to Double X Speedway for providing access for the ceremony location.
